This is my photo for #marchmeetthemaker Day 10. This is me a few *ahem* decades ago as a little kid. I grew up in Berlin with my German Mom and my American Dad back when there was still a wall dividing my city. We lived in West Berlin, in Charlottenburg and I went to a bilingual school. When my Dad finished his education we moved to the US, to a beach town in Massachusetts. I missed living in a city and everything that comes with that, so in college I moved to Washington DC, where I still live. I met my husband here 22 years ago. Dennis and I both worked in restaurants and bars and we both went back to school and changed jobs and we traveled as much as we could. Auggie joined our family 6 years ago and I quit my day job to be home with him, and that’s how I ended up being a DC based maker of fun stuff for creative kids. ️ #Berlin #Charlottenburg #jfkschool #globalnomad #thirdculturekid #tck #dckid #dcmaker
