Don't worry, this isn't turning into a food page, but I've been trying to find my footing and my creativity in this strange new time, and food is a good outlet.Today is my 10th wedding anniversary, so I cooked some really wonderful comfort food. Auggie got a heart made of avocado sushi, which is his favorite. The grown ups had a huge bowl of ramen with fresh miso, asparagus, tofu, mushrooms, bok choy, seaweed, and avocado. Auggie and I baked a cake which Auggie decorated with a "10!" in chocolate chips. So, tonight I'm going to push my worry about the outside world aside and enjoy this time with my little family.

Today was our second day of distance learning. Auggie's teacher has the patience of a saint. I appreciate her more than ever in this time. The kids in Auggie's class are getting the hang of muting during the video chat and we learned how to pin the teacher's picture so that it doesn't just insanely flip through all of the kids every second. Baby steps, friends, baby steps. Right now Auggie is having a FaceTime playdate, which I'm grateful for because he craves kid time. I was in the kitchen when a ladybug landed on my green shirt, I went into the living room to show Auggie and the ladybug realized that it had misjudged this weird tree and flew off. We found it again on this pillow. How perfect is that? I've decided it's definitely a good sign!
