Hello! Today is day 7 of #marchmeetthemaker and I'm going to tell you about the less glam side of being a maker. The photo is of some pretty fabric scraps, but the reality is that there are only so many hours in the day. I love thinking of new designs, finding fun fabrics, and then cutting, ironing (so much ironing), and sewing. There's also all kinds of non making stuff that has to happen, like deciding whether it's worthwhile to pay the printer to put holes in my tags or if I should do it myself, like running to the good post office which is further away than the bad post office, and finding new sources for supplies when something isn't up to my standard (suppliers – I'll stay with you for life if you send me great supplies every time), and so on. None of these are particularly odious, they are just business related things which take time and aren't as fun as sending out a new pair of RBG shoes :)
